Sheet Metal Parts Industry knowledge

Yongji Precision Hardware Co., Ltd. is a Sheet Metal Parts manufacturer serving global OEM and ODM programs from four production bases in Suzhou, Yangzhou and Vietnam. We produce chassis, brackets, covers, cabinets, enclosures and battery-related structural components from cold-rolled steel, stainless steel, aluminum alloy and copper alloys, using bending, welding, stamping and integrated finishing.

Our sheet metal range is built around custom drawings and application requirements rather than a fixed catalog. Prototype quantities, pilot batches and stable mass supply are all supported, with engineering review, tooling, forming, surface treatment and inspection handled inside our manufacturing system.

Our Sheet Metal Parts Range

The range covers structural, protective and functional sheet metal components for electronics, energy storage, automotive, telecom and industrial equipment. Each product family below is produced to drawing, with material, thickness, openings and finish matched to the installation environment.

Product family Typical function Common materials Application fit

Bent Metal Connecting Bracket Structural connection and positioning Carbon steel, stainless steel Automotive, industrial equipment, cabinets

Application Fit and Material Selection

Sheet metal components are selected by function: structural support, environmental protection, electrical shielding or thermal management. We match material and thickness to the load, corrosion exposure and installation method, then confirm the forming route.

  • Cold-rolled steel (SPCC): general structural plates, brackets and covers where flatness and cost efficiency matter.
  • Stainless steel (SUS304/SUS316): corrosion-resistant panels, covers and brackets for outdoor or humid environments.
  • Aluminum alloy (6061/6063): lightweight housings, heat dissipation plates and battery shells.
  • Copper and phosphor bronze: conductive shrapnel, terminals and shielding components.

For energy storage and e-mobility programs, we produce battery pack structures, square aluminum shells and e-bike lithium battery sheet metal with attention to flatness, weld quality and coating adhesion. For industrial control and telecom, cabinets and enclosures are built with precise openings, mounting bosses and cable entry features.

Critical Specifications and Manufacturing Capability

Our sheet metal fabrication is supported by stamping, bending, welding and finishing equipment across multiple bases. Typical production parameters are confirmed per drawing and application.

  • Sheet thickness: 0.15 mm to 3 mm for precision stamping and formed sheet metal components.
  • Forming tolerance: bending and deep drawing controlled to approximately ±0.05 mm under servo closed-loop control.
  • Press capacity: 80T to 300T servo presses for progressive and transfer stamping.
  • Surface finishes: zinc plating, nickel plating, zinc-nickel alloy, Dacromet, electrophoresis, PVD, passivation and painting.
  • Assembly: welding, riveting, stud welding and hardware insertion integrated into the production flow.

We confirm the working point, material, production target and interface requirements before finalizing the process route. When a part requires both sheet metal forming and machined features, our Turned & Misc Parts capability supports collaborative production.

Configuration Options and Customization

Every sheet metal part we supply is customized to the equipment envelope, mounting pattern and environmental requirements. Standard openings, vents, display windows and studs can be added during tooling design.

  • Non-standard sizes, bend radii and opening layouts
  • Ventilation patterns, EMI shielding features and display windows
  • Welded studs, clinched fasteners and threaded inserts
  • Surface treatment selection for corrosion, conductivity or appearance
  • Prototype, pilot and mass production quantities

Tooling is developed in-house, which allows us to adjust forming stations and fixtures as the design matures. For programs that combine sheet metal with fasteners, our Custom Fasteners range can be supplied as part of the same delivery.

Quality Assurance and Acceptance

Our independent precision testing laboratory performs incoming material inspection, in-process patrol inspection and finished product final inspection. Testing equipment is calibrated annually by third parties, and we can issue material certificates, dimensional reports, salt spray reports and PPAP documentation on request.

  • Dimensional: Zeiss 3D CMM, 2.5D optical vision, contour and roughness measurement
  • Mechanical: tensile, torque and hardness testing
  • Corrosion: neutral salt spray testing from 72 h to 1000 h
  • Material: spectrometer identification and metallographic analysis
  • Compliance: RoHS and REACH screening with XRF

Our quality system follows IATF16949, ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001 and QC080000. Customer-specific AQL sampling plans and inspection standards can be built into the control plan.

Installation, Maintenance and Serviceability

Sheet metal parts are designed for straightforward installation: mounting holes, pilot features and bend reliefs are positioned to match the assembly sequence. We consider access for fastening, cable routing and component replacement during drawing review.

For maintenance, we recommend specifying wear-resistant finishes on contact surfaces and using replaceable covers or panels where service access is frequent. Spare parts can be produced from the same tooling to maintain fit and finish.
